ABOUT SAM KLEIN

PHILOSOPHY

Baseball is the ultimate representation of life. Managing through the emotional highs and lows, effort must be made day in and day out to have any chance of success and fulfillment. My personal belief has always been to maximize my focus and efforts to become the best baseball player I possibly could. A players' timeframe of playing is so narrow overall, why not see how far you can go; see how skilled you can become; how high of a level can you compete at. Once I was done competing at a high level and maximizing my skillset, my focus has completely shifted to building up the next generation of players. My fulfillment comes from the players I am able to mentor, train, have success, and enhance their mentality and physical baseball abilities. I am able to relay lessons in the game I have learned to younger players. I am able to communicate how to navigate through failures more effectively, so players can be more prepared to succeed. I believe this enhances player's overall learning curve through my honest feedback, conversations, and approach to the game. This is what separates me from the rest as a trusted baseball trainer. Communication is where I shine. I focus solely on honest conversations that seek truth. So anything I say is in fact coming from a reliable baseball voice. I possess the ability to relate to all ages of ballplayers. This is something I actively work on to stay respected and relatable. I am constantly aware of giving players my maximum effort, and expecting the same in return. Effort, desire, and intentional work are required for baseball growth. This can be fun! My training is directed to effect players immediately, but also inteded to progress them over a long term outlook. Lastly, I still compete at a high level. I still play baseball, not softball. I maintain the mentality of continuing a high level of playing ability. If I am training others to do this work and actions, I need to be able to prove I am able to perform as well. It is continued earned credibility. This allows me to still be in game situations, problem solve scenarios, and relay this information to current ballplayers.

FAMILY

The most impactful part of my life is having children of my own. My wife and I realize the importance of being a positive role model in their lives. Our actions and communication towards each other and our children is a high priority we strive to execute on a daily basis. My children and abundant opportunities for their future have become the most motivating aspect of my life. Additionally, another incredibly strong impact on my life is growing up on a family farm. Learning the value of hard work, having goals to achieve, showing up daily, providing value to a team, and communicating effectively are the most importact aspects I continue to implement through baseball training. Our family farm has been active in 4 generations and continues to be a respected name in the community by providing fresh local produce. We have donated countless time, effort, donations, to improving those around us. Personally, I am constantly aware of earning my worth. Earning my reputation, earning the respect of players, coaches, and parents. I live by this, and I believe this is felt by all those I come into contact with.
